Mold growth only occurs when excess moisture is present. Therefore, the best way (and only way) to solve a mold problem is to find the source of the moisture. In some homes it’s a liquid water intrusion such as a leaky pipe or ground water flooding, in others it’s due to humidity and poor ventilation. Either way, if you want the mold problem solved permanently, you must fix the moisture problem.
